Aside from a few recent Record Store Day singles, Pinback haven't offered up too much new material since 2007's Autumn of the Seraphs. The long-running indie rock outfit have now announced they'll return with a fifth full-length effort called Information Retrieved in the fall.
Pitchfork reports that the LP will drop October 16 through Temporary Residence. If you remember, Pinback had signed to the label in 2009 shortly after Touch and Go ran into some economic hardships. At the time, the band hinted that the new album would hit sometime in 2010, but obviously it took a little longer than anticipated.
A tracklisting has yet to pop up for the set, but more details are no doubt on their way.
