Pink Floyd are celebrating the 50th anniversary of a little album called The Dark Side of the Moon — maybe you've heard of it? — with the release of a new box set.
The expansive set arrives March 24. It features a fresh remastering of the classic on vinyl and CD, and the first vinyl release of 1974's The Dark Side of the Moon: Live at Wembley Pool. Further, it includes a hardcover 50th anniversary photo book of rare and unseen snaps taken between 1972 and 1975, which is also set to be published separately via Thames & Hudson.
Elsewhere in the box, you'll find replica 7-inch singles and a 76-page music book, as well as both surround sound and Dolby Atmos mixes for Blu-ray and DVD.
In a nod to the infamous Planetarium press conference for the 1973 premiere of The Dark Side of the Moon, its legacy will be honoured with playback in Planetariums worldwide throughout March. Pink Floyd have launched a competition for animators to create music videos for any of the album's 10 tracks.
The Dark Side of the Moon - 50th Anniversary Deluxe Box Set is now available for pre-order here.
