After streaming concert films for isolated listeners earlier this year, Pink Floyd will now treat 1988's Delicate Sound of Thunder to an expanded reissue.
A "restored, re-edited, remixed" version of the live album and concert film will arrive November 20 in Blu-ray, DVD, 2-CD, 3-disc vinyl and deluxe 4-disc edition formats via Sony.
The restored and re-edited version of the concert film — initially included in last year's The Later Years box set — was upgraded to 4K from the original 35mm film and enhanced with 5.1 surround sound remixed from the original multitrack tapes by longtime Pink Floyd engineer Andy Jackson and the band's David Gilmour, assisted by Damon Iddins.
When it comes to physical editions, the 3-LP, 180-gram vinyl package boasts nine songs not included on the 1988 release, while the 2-CD includes eight more tracks. All formats feature 24-page photo booklets, while the 4-disc box edition packs in a 40-page photo booklet, tour poster and postcards.
The 2020 reissue of Delicate Sound of Thunder is now available for pre-order, where you can pore over the tracklists for each edition. While Roger Waters won't be featured in the film, he's due to share a concert film of his own next month.
