Coming off of Planes Mistaken for Stars' 2015 reissue of Mercy, the reunited post-hardcore outfit have announced their first new project in 10 years. Though details are scarce, Prey arrives October 21 via Deathwish Inc.
Prey was announced by the band today (August 22) via a short, animated trailer. Visually, the 30-second teaser is filled with the sight of in-flight death's-head moths and later the band's familiar skull logo. Scoring this are some atmospheric guitar sounds, and a rumble of bass and drums.
No further info has been delivered by the band or the label, but it had been explained last year that Planes Mistaken for Stars were "quietly and persistently working on new music" for Deathwish. Prey will be the first release from the Midwest outfit since 2006's Mercy.
While we wait for the rest of the details to arrive, you can watch the trailer down below.
