Poison the Well Working with Producer J. Robbins

BY Josiah HughesPublished Sep 25, 2008

Miami’s Poison the Well have gained a ton of critical acclaim and a huge fan base for their emotional post-hardcore sound in over ten years as a band. Still, things are not slowing down, as they have announced they’ll be entering the studio this November to record their as-yet-untitled fifth album and second for Ferret Records.

Even more interesting is the producer they’ve selected for the project. J. Robbins began as a bassist for seminal Washington DC hardcore punks Government Issue and has since enjoyed an illustrious career performing in the bands Jawbox, Burning Airlines, and Channels, among others. He has also produced amazing albums from the likes of Against Me!, mewithoutYou, Jets to Brazil, and many, many others.

While details are slim, the record is slated in for a May 2009 release.
