Portishead Drop New Single for Amnesty International

While last year's fantastic Third was a long time coming, Portishead appear to be back for good. Besides producer Geoff Barrow's Beak> side-project, he has also said that 2010 will see the release of the band's fourth album. To prove they're serious, the trip-hop trio have just released a brand new single in time for the holidays.

Called "Chase the Tear," the song came out earlier this week as a benefit for human rights organization Amnesty International. The track is meant to coincide with today's recognition as International Human Rights Day.

The track is available as a 99-cent download from 7 Digital. All proceeds will go directly to Amnesty International. The song's music video can be seen below.
