MDMA-infused Britpop heroes Primal Scream recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their classic Screamadelica with a whopping box set. Along with that, the group have been performing the album in its entirety live across the world. The first time they did that was on November 27, 2010 at London's Olympia. Lucky for us, that performance was documented and will now be getting a DVD release.
While Primal Scream did not perform Screamadelica in the order it appears on record, they did play all of the songs from the seminal album, opening with "Movin' On Up" and concluding with "Come Together" at the London venue.
Eagle Rock Entertainment will release Screamadelica Live on DVD and Blu-ray on May 31. The DVD version will come with a CD of the live recordings, while the Blu-ray will also feature the Screamadelica Classic Album documentary, which follows the record's creation. A clip from the live film is available below.
