Long-running chemical-abusers and overall shit-disturbers Primal Scream are set to grace Toronto with their presence come 2009. The UK act recently announced they'll play the Phoenix Concert Theatre on March 24, a date that will come in support of the band's latest, the more pop-oriented Beautiful Future.
At this point, the Toronto show, which will be their first time in Canada since 2000, appears to be the band's only stop in the Great White North but the Scream have lined up two dates in the U.S.: March 26 in Philadelphia and March 28 in New York.
Tickets for the Toronto show are scheduled to go on sale Thursday (December 18) via Ticketmaster and presumably at other ticket retailers.
In other Scream news, as previously reported, bassist Gary "Mani" Mounfield came out with news this week that he hopes to reunite his past group, the Stone Roses, saying 2009 is the "ideal time" for the Roses to scratch that itch for nostalgia.
