The British royals are generally beacons of grace and etiquette, but Princess Beatrice slipped up a bit over the weekend when a party prank went wrong.
James Blunt was in attendance at a party at Royal Lodge in Windsor (home to the Duke of York), and jokingly asked the princess to knight him. She obliged, but when she lifted the real sword to perform the joke ceremony, it swung backwards and hit fellow guest Ed Sheeran in the face. Unfortunately, it wasn't as dull as its intended honouree's last name.
The damage was enough that Sheeran had to receive medical attention at a nearby hospital, though he did return to the party later that evening. The injury didn't seem to interfere with his performance the following night in London, but the cut can be seen in photos taken with fans who attended the show.
