Last year, the Prodigy's hit 1997 album The Fat of the Land got treated to remixes from Major Lazer, Zeds Dead and more with a deluxe reissue, but now aggro rap experimenters Death Grips have weighed in with another era-specific remix for the UK electronic act's breakthrough hit "Firestarter."
The pairing is really rather brilliant, with Death Grips juicing up the dark electronica track's already searing guitars and ticks with extra blitzed drum beats and apocalyptic synth-bass drops. While Liam Howlett's manically spit lines get retextured as well, it could've been cool to hear the lines gruffly redone by Death Grips MC Stefan Burnett.
