On top of the 24 songs that fill Quasi's upcoming Mole City LP, the Pacific Northwest indie duo will soon be delivering a disc of covers called Interprets. One such tribute is for Black Sabbath's classic metal cut "War Pigs," and you can check out the cover ahead of the October 1 street date via Kill Rock Stars.
The redo runs relatively faithful to the original, with Janet Weiss whomping on her kit with reckless abandon. Those doomy riffs, however, are delivered via Sam Coomes's overdriven organ, and his vocals are a little more modest than the iconic wail of one Ozzy Osbourne.
