Members of Queen are re-teaming with American Idol singer Adam Lambert this summer for a North American arena tour, which will hit up a number of Canadian stops.
A press release confirms that the pop singer, who has been singing off and on with the classic rock group since 2009, will once again mount the stage with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor for a summer trip. The tour kicks off in Chicago mid-June but will quickly have the group coming into Canada for a stretch of shows between Winnipeg and Vancouver, with additional stops in Toronto and Montreal set to take place in July.
You'll find all of the details down below.
"The thought of sharing the stage for a full set in North America is so beautifully surreal," Lambert said in a statement. "I'm honoured to be able to pay my respects to Freddie [Mercury]'s memory; he's a personal hero of mine, and I am deeply grateful for the chance to sing such powerful music for fans of this legendary band. I know this tour will be a huge milestone for me, and with the support of Brian, Roger and the rest of the band, I feel like magic will be on display."
May added more succinctly of the team-up: "Let's rock those beautiful arenas just one more time!"
