Quill

I have never been a big fan of heavy bands like Rainbow and Dio. I always found they were a little pompous, a little too overblown and definitely way over the top in the vocal department. Having said that, I have to say this debut record by the Swedish act the Quill reminds me most of these two bands. They are all very competent players, and do a fantastic job updating the wizard-like sounds of Rainbow with a '90s-style guitar crunch. But it is just lacking the oomph that would make me want to go back and play it again.
