Mexican-Canadian musician Quique Escamilla just took home the Juno Award for World Music Album of the Year for 500 Years of Night, and he's highlighting the track "Canción Mixteca" with a Pinball Sessions performance video.
This intimate performance was captured the Folk Alliance International Conference in Kansas City, MO. It shows Escamilla, wearing denim and a brimmed hat, plucking his electric guitar and signing in Spanish while backed by a bassist and trombone player on this folksy Latin ballad.
Check it out below. Audio of Escamilla's entire Pinball Session can be heard here.
