Raekwon

"Footsteps in the Dark"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 3, 2014

Three weeks into Wu god Raekwon's "Throwback Thursdays," the Chef has cooked up some new an Isley Brothers-sampling slow jam called "Footstep in the Dark."

Above the soulful bump of the source track of the same name, Raekwon's bars detail a series of sketchy scenarios, from guys making their way around with a suitcase full of cash, to catching a crooked card game in a building guarded by ninjas, and having to lay low in the Aspens. Like previous instalments, Raekwon ducks out mid-track to let the song play out properly.
