Rammstein guitarists Paul Landers and Richard Kruspe protested Russia's anti-LGBT laws at their show in Moscow this week (Jul 29) by kissing on stage.
The band celebrated their defiance of the harsh laws with an Instagram post captioned "Russia, we love you!"
Russian President Vladimir Putin passed a "gay propaganda" law in 2003 aiming to prevent children from being exposed to homosexuality. The law allows their government to arrest and detain foreigners for up to 15 days or fine them 5,000 rubles before deportation for presenting anything gay as "normal."
Just a week ago, frontman Till Lindemann was carried across the crowd at a performance in Poland on a rubber dinghy while waving a Pride flag in support of Poland's LGBTQ community, who faced attacks during Pride Month.
