Red Hot Chili Peppers have been very active this year, but amidst all of the hype surrounding Unlimited Love, bassist Flea is reportedly travelling to a galaxy far, far away. According to rumours, Flea will be appearing in the new Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi.
This report comes via Star Wars News Net, which cites "sources" claiming that Flea will be in the series. His role is currently unclear, but he's said to be "wielding a cool-looking blaster."
This would align with what actor Rupert Friend said to Hey U Guys last month, when he promised Obi-Wan Kenobi would include "wonderful cameos from people I obviously can't tell you."
If the news is true, Flea won't be the only virtuoso bassist in the Star Wars universe: Thundercat recently appeared in Boba Fett.
Flea has had a long career as an actor. His credits include the Back to the Future series, The Big Lebowski, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Queen & Slim and many more.
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres on May 27 on Disney+.
