After four decades of writing hit songs about their sunny home of California, legendary funk-rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers will be getting their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The band will receive the 2,717th star on the walk, situated between Pat Sajak and late-night talk show legend Jack Paar, in an unveiling ceremony to be attended by Freaky Styley producer George Clinton and Woody Harrelson on March 31.

This announcement comes just as the Chilis are gearing up to release their 12th studio album, Unlimited Love, on April 1. The album marks the return of long-serving guitarist John Frusciante, who left the band in 2009.

The album will be followed by an extensive tour of Europe and the US starting June 4. Details on their lone Canadian tour date are here.
