Red Hot Chili Peppers are cashing out and selling their entire song catalog for a pretty penny. According to multiple media reports, the band have sold their catalog for a cool $140 million USD to Hipgnosis Songs.

The bulk of the RHCP songwriting comes at the hands of singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist John Frusciante, meaning these rich old men are now even richer.

So far, neither RCHP nor Hipgnosis Songs has commented on the sale.

This just marks the latest of many artists who have offloaded their catalog for a wad of cash recently, such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Stevie Nicks and many more.

As recently reported, the band are currently at work on a new album, which will be their first since 2016's The Getaway.
