Bassist Flea apologized to the crowd on behalf of the Chili Peppers, saying that the band were "so sorry." Watch his statement below. Weezer ended up closing out the show.
Red Hot Chili Peppers haven't issued a proper statement on Kiedis' health, but drummer Chad Smith tweeted this get-well-soon message:
UPDATE (5/15, 7:30 p.m.): The band have now issued a statement via their website stating Kiedis was hospitalized due to "complications from the intestinal flu," but he's now said to be on the mend.
Hopefully Kiedis makes a quick recovery, as the band have numerous tour dates booked in support of The Getaway, including a few Canadian festival slots. See their full tour schedule here.
