Half a year after we reported that ex-Verve front-man Richard Ashcroft was working on a new solo album with Jay-Z producer No ID, the British singer-songwriter has unveiled the details surrounding the long-awaited project.
Over the past several months, Ashcroft has been hard at work on his fourth studio album, which will be released under the moniker United Nations of Sound. Due July 19 in the UK (and a day later in North America), the eponymous new album will feature 12 tracks, including first single "Are You Ready," which you can listen to in our Click Hear section.
United Nations of Sound was recorded entirely by No ID in Los Angeles, New York, and London. It will feature guest work from guitarist Steve Wyreman, bassist Paul 'DW' Wright and drummer Derrick Wright.
