You may have heard rumblings of Rilo Kiley's reunion, with the band set to play a few nostalgia festivals this summer. Well, it seems they're taking the whole thing pretty seriously and have now mapped out North American dates for the Sometimes When You're On, You're Really Fucking On Tour.
The "May leg" (indicating the possibility of a June leg?) takes place primarily on the West Coast, with a lone Canadian date booked toward the end of the tour as we know it thus far. Everything kicks off with a trio of California shows starting May 5, after which Rilo Kiley will head to Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Boise and more before landing in Vancouver. The group will play the Commodore Ballroom on May 21, and then wrap up in Portland on the 23rd.
Tickets for the tour go on sale this Friday, February 7. Check out the dates below, as well as a statement and announcement video from the band.
Jenny Lewis shared in a statement:
It's going to be wonderful for us, like going back to the purest version of yourself, that early 20s place where everything is possible. You're in a van and Jason's got the map, Pierre is behind the wheel, and I'm on the shitty acoustic guitar on the bench seat working out a new song with Blake. I don't think it's ever been as good as that, when it was just us against the world.
