In late 2012, rumours swirled that Rilo Kiley would be reforming for a new album, but this turned out to be a forthcoming retrospective compilation from the defunct indie rock group. Now, the band have confirmed the details of that compilation. The cleverly titled Rkives is out on April 2 via Little Record Company.
The 16-track collection is available in digital, CD and double-vinyl formats. There's also a deluxe bundle that comes with a bonus cassette containing a few exclusive tracks, plus a tote bag, poster, button, and stickers.
A product description on Amazon reads, "Rkives is a long awaited collection of unreleased songs, B-sides, and rarities spanning Rilo Kiley's decade-long career. The record includes nine never before released songs, a variety of demos, B-sides, and previously hard to find tracks."
