Having moved the release date of his forthcoming album Echo Still Remains from January 31 to February 14 (via Hand Drawn Dracula Records) due to the Los Angeles Wildfires, multimedia artist Robert Ascroft has now unveiled another new single from the effort, "Should've Stayed in Bed."

Arriving alongside a self-directed music video, the David Lynch-inspired effort features Christopher Owens, who last year released I Wanna Run Barefoot Through Your Hair. The track harnesses the easier-going tendencies of Lou Reed and Nick Cave, with synths twinkling above sparse, melancholic guitar. Owens also appears on the closing track "On the Run."

The collabs don't stop there; Britta Phillips (Luna, Dean & Britta), Tess Parks, Ruth Radelet (Chromatics), Kid Congo Powers (the Cramps, Gun Club), Guy Blakeslee (the Entrance Band), and Ora Cogan and Zumi Rosow (Black Lips) also guest on the album.

Other contributors include Grammy Award-winning audio engineer Ted Young (Rolling Stones, Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth), mixer Larry Crane (Elliott Smith, the Shins, She & Him), production by Manny Nieto (Kim Deal, the Breeders) and mastering by Josh Bonati (Mac DeMarco, Wild Nothing, Slowdive).
