Roller Starter mix punk and ska in a way few other Canadian acts have ever before - they actually do it well. They know when to ska and when to let loose with rage. Taking a few pages from Operation Ivy, Voodoo Glow Skulls and early Suicide Machines, they really let 'er rip! The horn arrangements are well thought out and somewhat complex, not some secondary item the band thought to throw in at the last minute and that goes for just about every instrument on the disc. Lyrically, the band wears their emotions on their sleeves and don't hold back how they really feel. Pure and simple, the energy and honesty here is what keeps me listening and my head boppin'.
