Though there was a wide range of music at the fest, there was something about the quiet no-nonsense of Ron Sexsmith and his band that set him apart. Older? Not-indie? His lovely song "Hands of Time certainly sounds like it could have come from another decade, and I could be wrong, but also slightly Clapton-esque. Booting the band off the stage, nicely of course, he played some new songs, including a wispy piano ballad one imagined theyd hear again, before the crowd shuffled either to bed or to see something entirely more hip.
