The Roots Announce '&TYSYC' Album

BY Josiah HughesPublished Nov 17, 2016

When they're not appearing on national television every week night as Jimmy Fallon's backing band, legendary hip-hop crew the Roots have developed a remarkable work ethic in the studio. Having released Undun less than a year ago, they're already at work on another longplayer.

They haven't announced a release date just yet, but drummer Questlove took to his Twitter to reveal some information. The album, which will be the band's 14th overall, is to be called &TYSYC. When writing the title, he added "guess," suggesting the acronym is something we might be able to figure out.

He also briefly reported on how the album will differ from Undun, describing last year's concept album as being "like a xmas lp. specific setting." &TYSYC, on the other hand, will be a "regular" album.

Stay tuned for more info on &TYSYC as it becomes available.
