As previously reported, Edmonton rock crew Royal Tusk are making the jump from EP land to full-length territory this spring via the release of DealBreaker. Ahead of the album's official May 6 due date through Cadence Music, you can stream the entire set on Exclaim! Sounds like a good deal, right?
The follow-up release to the group's Mountain EP was recorded with producer Eric Ratz (Big Wreck, Monster Truck, Arkells, Billy Talent), with a press release describing the 11-song set as being chock full of "rock'n'roll soul, blue-collar charm and a renegade attitude."
The record's "Fever" had been previewed earlier in the year, but now you can absorb rough-stomped riff rockers like "Curse the Weather" and "Soon," the distorted but jazzy swing of "Cold on Me," and softer pieces like the organ-soaked opener "Dynamo." Big Wreck's Ian Thornley also lends a hand to closing cut "So Long the Build Up."
You'll find the full album streaming via the SoundCloud player below, while you can also nab the record's "Dynamo" for the price of a tweet through a widget. Also below, you can find a new live video featuring "Fever."
Royal Tusk are already out on the road supporting DealBreaker, with the band currently travelling with Collective Soul and handling headlining dates. You'll find their full schedule below as well.
