Things are on the up and up for Toronto-based songsmith Royal Wood, who recently earned a Juno Awards nomination for Songwriter of the Year on the strength of his 2010 album, The Waiting. This spring, he will keep the momentum going by embarking on a lengthy cross-Canada tour.
The outing will last for two months and includes a hefty 31 Canadian shows, plus a single U.S. date. He will be hitting up some small towns along the way, including Dunnville, ON; Jordan, ON; Cannington, ON; and Burnstown, ON.
The songwriter was born in Lakefield, ON, and a press release says, "for his upcoming tour Royal is going back to his roots and visiting many new places off the beaten tour path." Interestingly, he will be skipping major Canadian cities like Vancouver, Calgary and Winnipeg in favour of smaller locales. See the schedule below.
