It's been a couple months since Toronto-based folk pop artist Royal Wood wrapped up a massive Canadian tour, so suffice to say, the road-ready artist is itching to take off again. With that in mind, the tunesmith has announced a fall tour schedule.
While a press release explains that Royal Wood will be playing some recent classics off his well-received, Juno-nominated 2010 disc The Waiting, the upcoming trip will also see the singer-songwriter testing out some new tunes that could be featured on his next album. Fittingly, the trip is being billed as the "Sneak Peek Tour."
"The Sneak Peak Tour will be an intimate way to let my listeners in on the secrets that have been brewing," the artist confirmed in a statement.
On top of enjoying the fresh material, fans are being encouraged to hit up Facebook and Twitter with their opinions on the songs. Royal Wood will take their comments into consideration when crafting the tracklisting of his next full-length, which is expected sometime in 2012.
Royal Wood will be selling a new covers EP on the trip called the Cover Sessions EP, which features interpretations of Foster the People's "Pumped Up Kicks," among other tunes. It will only be available on this tour. He'll also be selling pre-orders for the as-yet-unannounced new disc, which will arrive on your doorstep signed by the artist before it hits stores.
Joining Royal Wood on the trip will be Montreal rocker Danielle Duval. Check out the dates below.
