Prolific alt-country singer-songwriter Ryan Adams seems to be a firm believer in the rock'n'roll proverb, "The show must go on." Back in March, he dressed in drag and filled in for Natalie Prass when she was unable to perform, and now he's confirmed that despite sustaining an injury, he'll continue with his extensive touring schedule.
Following his set at this weekend's Sasquatch! Music Festival, Adams has given new meaning to the phrase "Starting to Hurt," revealing via social media that he had sustained a broken rib.
Following his remaining dates on this side of the Atlantic, Adams is slated to play a string of European and Australian dates. For official updates and a full list of upcoming shows, head to his website.

I think I have a broken rib. When I exhale into the harmonica my whole body wants to throw up a fireball of pain. Oh man

Instagramming from the doctor's office, Adams vowed to make it to his scheduled shows regardless of the diagnosis.
Let's find out if it's broken. Either way I'm playing the shows. Getting in my bunk is brutal tho. https://t.co/WUz8E2v2Ih

Despite the pain, though, Adams will continue with his upcoming North American tour dates for now — including a show tonight (May 27) in Vancouver. Don't expect the setlist to be too harmonica-heavy, though.
