Following up his ode to "105.5 The Colorado Sound," Ryan Adams has penned a new tune for a Denver TV station.
Dedicated to Denver7, the city's local ABC affiliate, the song hears Adams ditching his alt-country roots to explore the realm of what he calls "smooth rap." Naturally, it's called "Denver7 (Piece of Heaven)."
The singer-songwriter even managed to score a gig as the weatherman on tonight's 5 p.m. newscast.
UPDATE (6/13, 8:30 p.m. EDT): As promised, you can now watch Ryan Adams do the weather forecast for Denver7 down below, complete with him in sunglasses and a Batman T-shirt.
Of course, all of the Colorado-themed promo arrives just before Adams takes the stage at Red Rocks Amphitheatre tomorrow night (June 14) with First Aid Kit.
Check out his latest jingle below.
