RZA and ESPN have teamed up for a new song inspired by the network's latest instalment of its 30 for 30 documentary series, Be Water, about the life of martial artist Bruce Lee. RZA's track "Be Like Water" will appear in the documentary and arrives alongside a music video that pays tribute to Lee's career.
"Bruce Lee's teachings extended beyond physical martial arts. He was full of philosophy and mindfulness," RZA said of the martial artist in a statement. "His quote 'Be Water my friend' is profound and multi-tiered in definition. It inspires the idea that in adapting to life situations, sometimes we have to flow smoothly as a stream, while other times we have to crash like a tsunami."
The Wu-Tang Clan founding member last released an EP of ambient-minded self-help music titled Guided Explorations in partnership with TAZO Tea back in February.
Be Water premieres tonight on ESPN at 9 p.m. ET.
