The last couple videos we've seen from Toronto roots rock staples the Sadies have been collaborative ones, with the band sharing their pair-ups with Robyn Hitchcock and Gord Downie. But the rock'n'roll mainstays are back with a clip all of their own with the new visuals for "The Very Beginning."
The clip was directed by Mike Roberts and features footage of the band performing on a travelling train. The doors to one of the moving cars opens to reveal the group decked out in their signature Americana-inspired formalwear with lasers for eyes. As they play on, they have to contend with an onslaught of seasonal weather changes.
"This is the Sadies travelling the world through all seasons — through heaven and hell. An endless loop. Sometimes with traveling, you can feel oblivious to the journey," Roberts said in a statement. "I also love the idea of the band on a train that's a stage that can just stop and put on a show along the way."
