Ohio-based Saintseneca have been honing their endearing brand of folk music since the release of their self-titled debut EP back in 2009. Now, with the release of their latest and critically acclaimed LP, Dark Arc, the band appears to be starting a new chapter, expanding their sound and gaining new fans in the process.
Exclaim! TV recently met up with a few members of the group at our office in Toronto where we were treated to a rendition of "Fed Up With Hunger," a track taken from their recent LP.
Opening with a melodic ukulele hook, the song effortlessly sets the stage for singer Maryn Jones' light, swooning vocals. The sombre vibe carries on gracefully throughout the track, which is smoothly balanced out by the band's nuanced performance and collective, energetic call for action during the chorus and conclusion.
