Sammy Hagar Confesses He Was Abducted by Aliens

There's no doubt that Sammy Hagar has seen some wild things over the years. Considering the Red Rocker's stints in Van Halen, Chickenfoot and Montrose, not to mention his solo career, you know the dude's seen some action.

Unsurprisingly, his new book, Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock, finds him quite candid about the sex and drugs he's enjoyed over the years. However, the real weirdness comes via the rocker's revelation that he's been abducted by aliens.

A recent interview with MTV Hive started off by discussing Hagar's party ethic, not to mention his stamina in the '80s, ploughing girl after girl in Van Halen's notorious "sex tents." But the performer threw the interviewer for a loop once he started dishing the dirt on UFOs. Though the interviewer jokingly asked whether or not Hagar had been snatched up by the Grays, the singer responded with a firm "yes."

While he discussed said abduction as a dream in his book, Hagar fessed up and said the event was the real deal.

"It was real," he explained. "[Aliens] were plugged into me. It was a download situation. This was long before computers or any kind of wireless. There weren't even wireless telephones. Looking back now, it was like, 'Fuck, they downloaded something into me!' Or they uploaded something from my brain, like an experiment. 'See what this guy knows.'"

Hagar continued, "I'm pretty sure it was a wireless situation. Either a download or upload. They were tapped into my brain and the knowledge was transferred back and forth. I could see them and everything while it was happening."

He then went on to say that he's had a number of out-of-this-world experiences.

"Another thing happened when I was about four that I didn't put into the book. One time I saw what I considered to be, well, at the time I thought it was a car with no wheels. We lived out in the country and I saw this thing floating across a field, creating this big dust storm. I threw rocks at it and shit. And I don't know what happened after that."

At the end of the day, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise that Hagar has had close encounters of the third kind. That's probably why he started up Chickenfoot with Joe Satriani. We seem to remember that guy surfing with the alien back in the '80s.
