We've already seen a pair of music videos from Santigold's forthcoming Master of My Make-Believe ("Big Mouth" and "Disparate Youth"), but until now, we've known relatively little about the release plans for the album. Well, now we've finally got a release date to mark down on our calendars.
Santigold's second album, and her first one under this moniker -- her 2008 album was release as "Santogold" -- will arrive on May 1 via Downtown Music/Atlantic Records.
Below, check out the low-key animated video for "Disparate Youth." The track was co-produced by Santigold and Ricky Blaze, and a press release calls it "a contemporary rebel song with a new spin on punk and reggae that underscores its message of pushing through all roadblocks and claim 'a life worth fighting for.'"
