Sean Burns

Sean Burns is a singer-songwriter who has opened for the likes of Carolyn Mark, 100 Mile House and Dustin Bentall. His debut full-length release, A Glimpse Through Storyboards & Situations, is fun, catchy and tongue-in-cheek enough, a fair collection of original (with the exception of "Last Stop" and "Travelin' Man") blues, country, honky-tonk and road house music. "Talking Jumping Overboard Blues" has distinct Bob Dylan flavours and the music is highly reminiscent of Steve Earle and Blue Rodeo. Burns's press release states that "Sean is a real weapon on the stage..." and I believe that. I kept thinking to myself as I listened to Storyboards & Situations that the music didn't quite fit in my headphones, rather I'd be much happier listening to these songs live in, say, a Perth, ON dive bar.
