It goes without saying that Sean Leon had a fruitful 2017, delivering both I Think You've Gone Mad (Or the Sins of the Father) and Can't Come with Me This Time (CCWMTT). The Toronto MC will now give listeners a look into the environment that shaped his creative process by turning his old basement apartment into a museum.
Leon is inviting listeners to visit his old Parkdale pad for an exhibit and pop-up event titled "Up Out the Basement." Set to run from January 29 to 31, the event is said to provide an intimate look into all that inspired the aforementioned full-lengths, in addition to a preview of his forthcoming full-length titled King & Sufferin.
"Designed to stimulate and trigger, sonically and visually inspiring, I hope you leave feeling fulfilled and I hope this gives you a better understanding of who I am as a person and as an artist," Leon said in a statement.
The event will also feature an auction, limited-edition merchandise and vinyl. Tickets to "Up Out the Basement" are on sale now and can be found here.
