The first trailer for Paul Thomas Anderson's Licorice Pizza has arrived, and it stars Alana Haim and Cooper Hoffman with appearances from Tom Waits, Maya Rudolph, Sean Penn, Danielle Haim and a heavily-wigged Bradley Cooper.
The trailer, soundtracked by David Bowie's "Life on Mars?" features lots of footage of Haim and Hoffman running through LA neighbourhoods and falling in love.
The film, scheduled to arrive November 26, is set in San Fernando Valley in the 1970s and follows a high school student as he becomes an actor. Named for the now-defunct LA record store chain, it looks like a return to the universe of Inherent Vice and Boogie Nights following the drama of 2017's Phantom Thread.
Licorice Pizza will also feature appearances from Ben Stiller, John C. Reilly, Benny Safdie and Christopher Walken.
