Sex Pistols

There'll Always Be An England

BY Keith CarmanPublished Nov 20, 2008

Celebrating 30 years since the release of their groundbreaking solitary effort Never Mind The Bollocks... Here’s The Sex Pistols, John "Rotten” Lydon, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock reunite circa November 2007 to blast out the album’s unforgettable 12 tracks with a few extras for fun. As expected, the end result varies from interesting, thanks to Lydon’s hilariously bitter stage banter and off-kilter vocal delivery, to wince-inducing due to the band’s overall slow pace and obvious struggling to remember the tracks they wrote so many moons ago. It may not be monumental but its one night stand fun and strangely, the extra material almost overshadows the gig itself. Featuring a tour of England, Pistols-style, the group wander about London giving a brief history of various clubs, houses, shops and other places that were important to the band’s history.
