Shad

'Melancholy and the Infinite Shadness' EP

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Jul 19, 2012

West Coast rhymer Shad has dropped a brand new five-track EP, which you can grab now for the price of free.

With a tongue-in-cheek nod to the Smashing Pumpkins, the new collection is titled Melancholy and the Infinite Shadness and was delivered with the message: "Here's a little joint that samples songs from my childhood. Shouts to HajahBug and T LO for holding it down. Much love!"

If this EP proves anything, it's that Shadrach Kabango hasn't slowed down at all since 2010's TSOL. And that only Shad could make a Lenny Kravitz sample cool.
