English post-punk outfit shame have announced plans for their new album Food for Worms, arriving February 24 through Dead Oceans. Today, they've shared the record's lead single and mapped out an international tour.

The album — helmed by renowned producer Flood (Nick Cave, U2, PJ Harvey) — is said to be the "the Lamborghini of shame records," and an ode friendship. "I don't think you can be in your own head forever," Charlie Steen said of the effort. "It's weird, isn't it? Popular music is about love, heartbreak, or yourself. There isn't much about your mates."

New single "Fingers of Steel" arrives alongside a music video by James Humby and sees the band making a bunch of fake social media profiles for the false inflation of their own following. "Self-obsession, social media flagellation and death can all be seen in this Oscar-nominated performance," said Steen. "No one's ever done a video like this before and when you watch it, you'll see why. Think Casablanca, but in colour, and better."

The band will embark on a supporting tour of Europe and the UK in March, after which they'll head to North America in May. That leg includes three stops in Canada: Montreal on May 18, Ottawa on May 19 and Toronto on May 20. Tickets go on sale at various points this week here
