Hailing from Las Vegas, it's not too surprising that Shamir has a penchant for delivering glitzy, glossy, dancefloor-friendly pop songs. But to celebrate the release of his debut LP Ratchet, the singer teamed up with La Blogothèque to show off a softer, acoustic side to his songs.
Unlike the French series' previous clips, Shamir's performance isn't filmed in Paris — opting instead to follow him around as he wanders around Brooklyn with an acoustic guitar.
He delivers Ratchet tracks "In for the Kill" and "Demon," which both get totally dressed up in indie-folk disguises, but nevertheless sound great. Hear the new take on the tracks by watching the video session in the player below.
