Shania Twain returns with anticipated new album Queen of Me next month, and before it arrives, the singer-songwriter has shared new single "Giddy Up!"
"Giddy Up!" which begins Twain's forthcoming sixth album, feels like something of a spiritual successor to "Man! I Feel Like A Woman!" in how it finds the country pop icon minting another memorable phrase.
As Twain explains in a statement, "The saying 'Let's Go Girls!' is such a wonderfully uplifting sentiment now, but it's just something I said during the recording in the studio and I guess that's the same for 'Giddy Up!' These lines come to me when I'm thinking about how to put a little 'pep in my step.' I want people to feel good when they hear the new album. I want to set a celebratory tone and 'Giddy up!' is a way to call to the audience and say 'let's get ready for some fun!'"
You can "Giddy Up!" and get down to Twain's latest with its official dance video below.
Alongside the single, Twain has also shared the complete tracklist for Queen of Me, which arrives February 3 via Republic Nashville and Universal Music Canada.
In addition to the previously shared "Last Day of Summer," "Waking Up Dreaming" and "Not Just a Girl," new reveals include "Brand New," "The Hardest Stone," "Got It Good" (she did promise, "I'm Gonna Getcha Good," after all) and "BEST Friend" — the last of which we dearly hope is dedicated to Four Tet.
As previously reported, Twain has also mapped out tour plans for Queen of Me, with a first North American leg kicking off this spring.
