Shawn Mrazek has served time as the drummer of the Doers and the Evaporators, but he will be going it alone when he releases his album Thought He Was Dead under his Shawn Mrazek Lives! banner. The collection will be out on February 28, but you can stream it now from Bandcamp.
This punk-tinged indie rock collection features contributions from some notable Vancouverites including Adrian Teacher of Apollo Ghosts, Rose Melberg, Chris-a-Riffic, Hayz Fisher of the New Values, Destroyer contributor JP Carter, and local photographer (and Exclaim! regular) Steve Louie. In addition to seven original tunes, there's a cover of the jazz standard "My Funny Valentine."
