Remember when there was a thing called a radio and this thing had a circular dial that could be spun freely and for fun? Just by spinning that dial, one could crash through genre, politics, transcendence and banality with equal abandon. Skadedyr are 12 musicians from Norway that operate as an anarchist/democratic construct, arranging compositions by consensus and leaping from jump cut samples to dreamlike songs.

The music itself reflects classical sensibilities in its ability to move symphonically from event to event without losing the thread. Gurgling sludge can morph from lilting Scandinavian harmonies and Zappa-like humour with abandon, and yes, there's even an acoustic bass jazz vamp ambling through like your weird but friendly uncle. This release reflects the joy of really liking a lot of different kinds of music and the motivation for creating something that exemplifies that love.
