Whitby-born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter Skye Wallace has announced her debut album for Six Shooter, led by new single "Tooth and Nail."
Things are going to get Terribly Good on October 28. The eight-track collection follows the artist's 2019 self-titled offering, as well as 2016's Something Wicked, 2014's Living Parts and 2013's This Is How We Go. Later this fall, she'll test out the songs on the road across Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
"This record is a banger of a journey through all the messy, sometimes ugly pieces of being alive and the beauty of growing while moving through it," Wallace shared in a statement. "I realized after it was completed that it was a love letter to myself, telling me to keep going."
Of the tenacious lead single, she added: "'Tooth and Nail' shouts defiance at all the expectations of failure I've met along the way, be it from outside sources or my own brain. The road here has been long, but creating music that makes me whole, and getting a chance to connect with people and feeling something altogether — that's what it's all about."
And blood will be shed: watch the Nicholas Marinelli-directed video for "Tooth and Nail" below, where you'll also find the album tracklist and Wallace's tour itinerary.
