Following a recent U.S. tour announcement, Slayer have revealed that they'll likewise be thrashing on this side of the border this fall via a string of Canadian concert additions.
A press release confirms that the band have filled in a few holes in their tour schedule with up- north appearances in Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal and Quebec City. The additional dates all take place in November, and you can see the updated tour info down below.
The trip is noted as being Slayer's first North American tour in two years, and first since the death of founding guitarist Jeff Hanneman. Exodus guitarist Gary Holt will be back onstage with founders Tom Araya and Kerry King, but is still listed as a "fill-in" for the late Hanneman.
The tour also finds Paul Bostaph behind the drum kit. He was brought back into the band earlier this year, following the departure of drummer Dave Lombardo over money issues.
