After sharing a pair of teaser trailers earlier this year, Slayer have officially pulled back the curtain on a new film project titled The Repentless Killogy.
The production features two parts: a narrative short film featuring a storyline expanded from three music videos conceived and directed by BJ McDonnell, and a concert film chronicling the band's live set at the Los Angeles Forum on August 5, 2017, that was directed by Wayne Isham.
Created by the band in conjunction with Nuclear Blast and Prime Zero Productions, the film and companion LP/CD release will arrive November 8. You can watch a trailer for the film below, and can pre-order the physical edition here.
The Repentless Killogy opens with music videos for "You Against You," "Repentless," and "Pride in Prejudice" assembled as a chronological storyline, all of which were created for the band's 2015 album Repentless.
The film follows main character Wyatt, a former neo-Nazi associated with a gang known as "the Hand Brotherhood." After his partner, Gina, is murdered by the gang, the film follows Wyatt in the present day, "dedicated to eliminating the Hand Brotherhood and seeking retribution wherever he can."
"When we set out to do these initial three videos, we had the intention of continuing the next adventures of Slayer and Wyatt on a following album," McDonnell explained. "But, Slayer announced that Repentless was the final album and tour, so this story, the videos, and finally a full live concert at the end is a perfect wrap up of the Repentless final tour. This is the finale of Slayer. This is the end of the monsters."
The Repentless Killogy stars Jason Trost, Danny Trejo, Richard Speight, Derek Mears, Jessica Pimentel, Tyler Mane, Bill Moseley and more.
Slayer will begin the final leg of their farewell tour in November. Find their dates here.
